Welcome to our fundraising page. We’re doing our thing and raising money for BBC Children in Need by taking part in the Countryfile Ramble.
I am Jill Poet and I am the CEO of BSTLC (Businesses Supporting their Local Communities). We run ad-hoc business networking events in Southend called Double Whammy Networking because they are good for business and good for the community.
For our 'normal' networking events, we typically charge delegates £10 to attend of which £8 goes to our charity pot. We have raised nearly £10k to date.
So we thought we would organise a Double Whammy Countryfile Ramble which will be a walking and talking networking event starting at 9:30am on Tuesday 9th October.
And, of course, we'll be raising money for a great cause.
Obviously, we will not be charging for tickets. People will need to pre-register for the ramble as they do with all the events we hold but on a donation only basis. 100% of everything we collect will go to BBC Children in Need.
We normally focus on small, local charities. However, we do know that as much as possible, Children in Need will direct the money we raise to deserving causes in our area. So this certainly fits our remit of supporting the local community.
The Double Whammy team consists of local business people who are taking time out of their busy days to join the event. I will add the team members as they register to take part.
You can support us by donating over there at the ‘Donate’ button. Your sponsorship will make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in areas all across the UK.
A like goes a long way too, and if you wouldn’t mind sharing our page with friends and family that’d be doubly helpful.
Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your support.
